This past month has been busy, but not in the same sense as the past. It seems like we have been going non-stop, especially Bart and his travel schedule. I have been busy cleaning, organizing and getting ready..and when I think back, not sure I have it all done and may need to re-evaluate!! :)

Bart and Hunter hit the river this past Sunday. Hunter kayaked for the 1st time and looks like this will be something we do more often, he loved it.

We also hit the lake this past Saturday. If you can't tell Hunter is a little water boy. If you can't find something to do with him, take him to the water..it always works!!

These were taken at 35 weeks. Jaren (http://jarenlightroom.blogspot.com/) did them and I will really cherish them forever, she did a FAbulous job!! I can't wait for her to take Randon's pictures when he arrives.

I can't do a post without including my 1st baby..Sammi, here she is rubbing all over the new rug I got for the nursery. I think she is trying to tell me something, like she knows what is going on. She will always be the love of my life, but Randon may have to take top spot!!

On July17th, Maci was born. She belongs to one of my closest girlfriends and she is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way!! Randon will be so lucky to have a beautiful playmate.

Bart went on a boys trip at the end of July with his Atl buddies, I told him this would his last fun trip with the boys for a little bit so to enjoy, and they went rafting. The rafting people got some GREAT pics, he is the front on the left.

Well hopefully my next blog visit will include pictures of my new baby boy..wow, that sounded weird. I am so ready for him arrive...2 weeks and 3 days count down...who came up with it takes 9 months!!!! It is to the point of dragging out, but I am patiently waiting for him to decide to grace us with his presence. He is already such a loved child.

Christina, Sandy and my mom did a great job on my baby shower!! Randon got some fabulous stuff, we had some great food and lots of visiting. Randon and I are so lucky to have such special people in our life.

We made a trip to FL for 10 days and took Hunter with us. We visited the west coast 1st to see Bart's brother and his family (cutest baby twins in the world!) and stayed with his mom. Then headed to NSB for some fishing, pool time and relaxation. It was nice and made me realize the next time I go down to FL I will have baby in tow..WOWO!!!!

One of my oldest and dearest friends is having a baby girl in July and we threw her a baby shower. She looks FABulous!!

Of course it went from cold to hot it feels like in 1 day..we maybe had a couple nice Spring days. It is hot now and the pool down the street really cools us off!!

Here I am at 6.5 months! The pregnancy has been great, no problems to complain about and if there are small problems I feel bad cause I know it could be a lot worse!! His name is going to be Randon Reagan Schad and I just have a gut feeling he is going to be BIG (my mom had 3 big babies, all 9 lbs and above). As of June 4th he weighs 2 lbs 4 oz already...not sure where the 20 extra lbs I have put on can be?? He is healthy and growing great. He has the hiccups everyday and Hunter got to feel him the other day, he thought that was pretty cool! Ordered my crib, go my registry done and now I have to start preparing for where to put all this "stuff"

Some of my family from AR made the trip to MI for my cousin's graduation. I can't believe she is 18..she is the last of us grandkids. Man we are all getting old!! It was great to see distant relatives I hadn't seen in years.

We have been doing a lot of fishing on the river boat and BArt and Hunter went wading in front of the house the other day. It seems like last year we didn't put enough time in out there, so this year it is a goal. The only way Hunter will last for hours on the river is if you are betting $ with him on who catches the most fish - he is really in to $ right now..can't get enough of it!! He is saving it, so hopefully he is learning young.

Here is the baby bedding I bought over the weekend..little by little, hopefully things don't all have to be done last minute!! I am 23 weeks May 2nd.

We had a very blessed Easter!! Palmer, Carol and Paul came to visit and we had a wonderful time - even though the weather didn't really cooperate.

We had Dan & my mom and cousins Will and Amanda over on Sunday for a ham dinner.

While Palmer was here, Bart got a new summer Jeep. Palmer will be turning 15 in the Fall so Bart made him drive up and down the driveway.

This past weekend Bart ran in the Ouachita 50K trail run in Little Rock, AR. He finished in 7 hrs, 18 minutes. I was just beaming with pride..he is the most ambitious, self motivated person I know! Maybe our child will grow up to be just like him!!

Uggh!! I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms until last week when I started getting killer headaches and they last for days. I have to keep reminding myself...it could be a lot worse!!

We had some great family time and we got to do it in the warm state of FL. I really do love home, but why can't it be warm all year long. One day, we are bound to live in FL full time, we love our condo, the weather, the people, all of it!

Palmer is 14 and SOOO cool! He wears flat hats with stickers on them and tight jeans. I always said I would be the cool step-mom, but I just can't pull off the fashion statements that are out there! Hunter got all COWBOY stuff.. Nana and Paul got him some boots and we got him a hat, Gma Pat made him a vest and pant thingys. He loves him some cowboys, it's funny!

I left Bart and the dogs in AR and my mom and I went to the Keys to spend a couple days with my aunt, uncle and cousins. We really had a wonderful time with the McKenzie's.

This was our Christmas day. We laid around like couch potatoes all day! It was great! Sammi really enjoyed all the attention (without Wednesday around).

Last night we had Bart's birthday dinner, followed by presents and then watching a TV Christmas movie. It was a great night, actually the best evening I can remember having at home in a long time. Most of time, the nights are a winding down time for us..reading, being lazy, homework and showers (when Hunter is over) and not much excitement - last night was fun and stress free.

Bart is a health FREAK! so instead of cake or pie I made a greek yogurt mixed with 100% apple juice and mixed with seasonal fruits. Let's just say Bart really liked it, Hunter not so much!

This is the best picture of Bart and Hunter I have ever seen. I love the way Hunter is hanging on to Bart's arm!! It brings a tear to my eye!

Today is my husband's 41st birthday and I am so incredibly proud of him. He is the most wonderful person I know, there is no human being that compares to him!!

He is a runner and recently ran the MH Marathon (in 4:09). This is the 3rd marathon he has run and everytime he comes across that finish line, I cry like a baby and I don't know how to explain the emotions I feel. I feel extatic for him and so proud and more than that I think I feel the pain he is in and I see how proud he is of himself.

I can't begin to make you know how much he means to me and how much I admire and love him with every ounce of my being. He is just MY ALL!!!

That is Hunter running after him! He is a great dad too and I hope Hunter and Palmer learn from him.

I am so incredibly thankful for my family!!! It is so wonderful to feel unconditional love and give unconditional love in return. I thank HEAVEN for them all every day, yes mom..even my bro and sis!!

There is a lot going on around here and I have told myself I am going to write on my blog every week until the end of the year.

The most exciting recent happening is we just got back from our Anniversary (the week of Thanksgiving) trip from Aruba!! It was awesome, very relaxing!! I missed our big family gathering and the great food, but there is always next year.

It has been a crazy couple weeks...but you know what if it wasn't crazy, I often think to myself, would I be bored????

Bart and I went to Fayetteville a couple weekends ago to watch the Gators whip the Razorbacks. It was a last minute trip and it was good to get away.

Big News...we got a new dog...correction, Hunter got a new dog that I get to take care of. Hunter has been wanting his own dog for a while now and last weekend the Humane Society had a pet fair and we just happen to be at the same place. :) I wasn't expecting to get a dog, I was kind of hoping to let a dog be the big Christmas present Hunter would get, but Bart comes along and we are petting this dog and he says "she is a good mix, you want her?" I have been telling Hunter about all the dogs that need to be rescued and needed good homes and ONE OF THESE DAYS that would be the way we went, instead of buying a fancy, expensive dog. So it just seemed right and we did it. Her name is Wednesday (Winny for short we decided) and she is a beagle/german shepard mix and they said she is a year old. It has been a week and a very trying week at that. I don't know what I was thinking...getting a new dog!!!! She is CUTE!!!

Hunter has been playing flag football and really did well at it. Bart is awful proud and thinks Hunter has it in him to be a great football player, actually Bart says that about every sport Hunter plays. He really is good at every sport!! His season is over and they got little trophies. Next year will be tackle football and that will be interesting.

Bart is signed up for the Kenya Marathon in November in MH and then the Disney Marathon in January, so he has been training. This past weekend he decided 2 days before he would run in the Turkey Trot 5K.

It seems like everytime Hunter has come over, he has gotten a little bit of his birthday every time. He probably thinks his birthday is a month long...

1st was the new BOW

Last night his room was his surprise and he had no idea. I had it painted Atlanta Braves blue, a new Braves comforter, a new desk and set of dresser drawers. He was so HAPPY, without asking, he gave us hugs and then came back for another hug 30 minutes later. He also wanted to sit at his new desk and practive his writing and read his library book, without being asked to do so. I think he is happy about it and I am happy that he is!!

Hunter has had a thing lately with watching me blow dry my hair (maybe he will be a hair dresser????, Bart would die) and so occasionally we do his hair and this is usually the way he wants it.

Hunter wants Sammi to go with us when I take him to school in the mornings and he gets such a kick out of her in the car, he wanted to me take some pictures of her checking everything out!!

Here Hunter wasn't very happy - he had to wear his life jacket most of the day and he hated it!! Even here where Bart and he just took a blow up float out on the river. He would rather sit and do nothing than put that lifejacket on.

Well that was our weekend of excitement. It was really nice to get away to do nothing - we didn't even have cell service!!

We had a great 4th of July!

Hunter and I cooked for the family cookout on Friday we had at the house. Hunter made his own jello concoction with bananas, strawberries, blueberries and whip topping (he wanted to know why I wouldn't eat any of it) - he also helped with the flag cake.

The kids couldn't help themselves from going in the puddle/pond that appears in the front yard when it rains. It was nasty and then they were nasty!!

On Saturday, we went to the Berry Farm to pick blueberries. This is really becoming a ritual Hunter and I do when it is berry time and this time Bart joined us.

Bart and Hunter were in FL for 4 days together while I was in MN and I will post those pictures. We got a new digital camera that takes under water pictures and Bart took some wonderful pics!! I also have some firework pictures, taken with the new camera that has a fireworks setting.

Having Palmer in AR was so special for us. He is now 13 and this was the 1st time he was able to travel by himself. I can only hope he comes back more and more!! It was a long crazy week, but everyone made it and things are now back to normal.

We went to NY to see the twins on their 1st bday, man they couldn't be any cuter. They had a BIG bday party in NJ!! We also went to a NY Yankees baseball game and did a little sight seeing on the Delaware in NJ. Rasberry Pickers..More like Eaters!!

I love going to the berry farm and picking our own. Last year was a bust on everything due to the frost, but this year they are back. The blueberries will be ready soon, but this time we got Rasberries. Hunter always eats more than he picks and it was Palmer's 1st experience picking anything fresh.

Before Hunter came over, Palmer and Bart had some time on the White River. Of course Bart didn't take very many, but Palmer caught a couple and they had some nice fog role in.

Buffalo River Day

I thought for sure it was going to rain and I hesitated about going. Glad we didn't stay home, we would have wasted what turned out to be a beautiful day! We took the river boat to the Buffalo River and fished and swam. Hunter caught 2 small mouth(all by himself might I add), Bart caught 5 small mouth and I caught NONE. I hate losing, especially to Hunter cause he gets bored and only picks his rod up every once in a while and throws it and catches something. Little Stinker, I fished the whole time!!

On Sunday we took the bass boat out to the Lake, but I forgot my camera. Hunter swam the whole time. I wouldn't get in, the water it too high and looks a little darker and dirtier than usual! I like the nice, pretty green lake water we normally have.

We have a new baby in the family. My nephew was born yesterday, April 30th - Thomas McKenzie Ott, 9 pounds, 21 inches long. My sister had to have an emergency c-section, it was very scary how everyone rushed around crazy!! He is here and I am again a pround Aunt.

April Happenings!

These past couple of weeks have been very busy. Seems like I can't get caught up on anything. I kinda hung up my scrapbooking scissors, but this past weekend I broke them out for 2 hours and decided I am going to get back to it - in my spare time, if that exists!! It really is a great hobby to get those memories put on paper and make them extra special.

The flood gates were opened about a week ago and it was so awesome to see! I told Hunter it might be a while before this happens again and I wanted to get his pic with the gates. I was a little nervous our house was going to be in danger and relieved to find we were safe!

We have been playing a TON of baseball. Bart is a little extreme with everything and baseball also falls in to this category. We have a pitching machine and so far we have used it everytime Hunter is here. Yesterday was the 1st day Hunter got hit in the face with the ball, luckily no black eye!

And now Hunter does not have either of his front, top teeth!! So cute, and it shocks me that they just come out and he pays no attention to it. Just turns around and hands me the tooth and goes on about his day.

Easter

Easter is one of my most favorite times of the year! We had a full weekend with Hunter, but as usual we always have fun. We got together the Sandy and Christina's families on Saturday and celebrated Braxton's bday and then Sunday we had baskets to dig through, went to church, dyed eggs, hit the State Park egg hunt(Hunter wouldn't sit with the Easter bunny). It seems like when Hunter is here all I do is cook, clean, pickup after, do laundry, play and go to bed between 8:00 and 8:30. I know this is what the everyday mom does, but I am not an everyday mom - I am need of a recovery day - massage time!!

I went and got Hunter today early and we met Mary, Elizabeth and Josh at the park. And of course Sammi came!! You couldnt have asked for a better day, now we wait for the bad weather. Why can't there ever just be good, good, good..it has to be good, bad, good, bad..UGH!

We have had a couple crazy weeks - flying/driving around Florida going to fishing tournaments. We got to spend a weekend with Palmer that was all worth it ..we took him to a Braves Spring Training game. Bart and I have gone to a game in March for the last 3 years. I hope this is something we get to do every year for a very long time!

We came back to some beautiful Spring weather (thankfully we missed all that snow). I brought Sammi a new dress - she hates it, but I love it!! And I have some flowers coming up in the back yard - love Spring!!

Beautiful Sun on the Snow

Hunter woke up with the words...what time can we go outside? So come 8:15 we were ouside in the snow. We were there long enough (2 hours) to see the sun start to come out of the clouds and I am grateful I got to see it - it was Beautiful and made me take a minute to remember who all the beauty and life around me belongs to!

A Beautiful Snow Day

We had a beautiful day of snow today in the Ozarks! I went and got Hunter around 2:00 today and we played all afternoon, we were both soaking wet and freezing at 5:00 when we went in the house. We had snowball fights, built a snowman and played with the sled (got my workout today by dragging Hunter around the yard on it). We made some M&M, chocolate chip cookies and ended the night watching a Christmas movie Hunter picked out. I love, love, love to see Bart, Hunter and Sammi when it is TV time at night, this is how it usually looks...with me on the couch and them all sitting in a chair! It warms my heart to see Bart and Hunter in their usual spots loving each other they way they do. I keep reminding Bart that Hunter will be too big very soon to do that, so he needs to cherish it.

Chucky Cheese PLEASE...

We went to Springfield this past weekend to start looking at furniture for the office. It was so cold outside anyway, I couldn't have imagined being stuck in a house with Hunter all day trying to keep him entertained. We did however have to make a deal with Hunter, if he was good for the couple stores we went to, we could go to Chucky Cheese! He did not make a peep and followed us around like a little pup. He even went to Sam's Club with us and was great! He also had a really great report card, so Chucky Cheese was an award for that as well. Luckily we made it part of the deal to eat somewhere good before going to CC, thank goodness! B- gave him his own money and he spent it in about 45 minutes. I don't know who enjoyed Chucky Cheese the most, H- or B-!

Higher level of living and loving!

God always wants to increase us, do more in and through us. I know He wants to raise me up to a higher level of living and loving. He did not create any of us to be average. I am not going to settle for good enough - I am going to press forward to the next level!!

Somtimes I let the wrong things take over my mind. Things have really been interesting lately and I have to remind myself of all the wonderful things in my life.

Christmas Time Was Wonderful!!

This year we got to see all sides of the family - it was crazy, but fun!! Kyle, Tara, Jackson and Kacey came to FL while we were there from NY and we spent a couple days with them - I just absolutely adore those babies. Then we came home and we have had Hunter a lot of his school break so far - he is getting better with occupying himself for a little bit. He of course got way too much stuff for Christmas from everyone! I think he still has presents coming his way! We have enjoyed every second with him! We spent Christmas Eve with my mom and step-dad and Christmas day with my dad and step-mom. Hunter, Josh and Elizabeth get along so well and I love watching them play together.

Christmas time is gone now and I have taken everything down and cleaned up - Now it is time for the new year!! We have a ton of changes coming for 2008 and I pray and hope everything goes extremely well. My resolutions are to get in awesome shape and quit living my life for other people. I am going to go where I want to this year and do what I want to do, without caring what I am walking in to. I tell myself every morning how strong of a person I have become and how lucky I am to have wonderful people in life...and I am going to live and love life! Happy New Year family & friends!

Skateboarder!!!

I have so much respect for Hunter..he is SOOO fearless. I wish I was like that as a kid, or for that matter like that now! We took him to the skateboard ramp and he wanted to try it ALL..of course there were no kids there at first. He said he wouldn't do anything if others were around. He keep falling and getting back up...after he rubbed the spot he just fell on. He would have spent all afternoon there. I wish we had some concrete at the house where we could set up some ramps - if he keeps practicing he will be so good at it - LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE HE DOES! Bart is the same way with everything in life - he was a skateboarder as a kid. He wants to get on one and skateboard with Hunter, but I told him he needed to be careful he is getting older and things break a lot easier when your older.

I spent some time with Christina, Royce, Sandy and Braxton this weekend and it made me realize how much I missed them. We went the Flippin races on Friday night and then went to the Turkey Trot parade (Elizabeth was in in the parade for her Brownie Troop) Saturday morning, had lunch with Christina. Adam and Royce and then to Sandy's moms for a full day of beauty (Sandy cut and colored hair all day long).

I bet Hunter thinks his birthday will never end! His present came in from Nana...games!! Thanks Nana. On Tuesday night we went the 178 Club for dinner and the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to him - his face was red! And then Wednesday morning I made a blueberry muffin cake and stuck a candle in it. Now he is 7!!

We had such a fun, great weekend! Hunter turns 7 on Wed and we had a little family party for him today. Time has really flown by..by the time I have my own, Hunter will be able to babysit, Palmer will definately be able to - HA! It seemed like we opened presents all weekend, he is definately not hurting for stuff to play with (even though most things we have to play with him) and has a ton of people who love him!

I just got back from New York, I went up a week ago yesterday to hang out with Bart's brother, Kyle, his wife, Tara, Bart's mom, Carol and two very adorable boys, Jackson and Kacey. Bart came up on Wednesday and we drove to PA on Friday for one of his friends wedding. I feel like I have been around the world in a week, but I think the big city makes you feel like that...we were in Brooklyn, Coney Island one day, then went into the City one day, then to a VERY remote place in PA (so remote we didn't have phone service). Oh, did I mention those baby boys are stinken adorable...now I am HOME and I love it in AR. I can't imagine calling anywhere else HOME!

We went to St. Louis over Labor Day and had a fabulous time with the Schad family. Palmer and Hunter were able to be together, Bart and Kyle were able to be together and I had some babies to hold!! Everyone was happy.

What a CRAZY 4 days trying to keep a 6 year old boy busy and cool! We did it all..cooked, rode bikes, went fishing (he caught 3 on his own), played soccer, went to the Zone, went to the Collins house for fun on Sat night..and I am tired! Hunter is definately 100% like his father, he constantly has to be moving and doing something...they both get bored fast!

Have you seen this movie? It's got Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore and Lauren Graham(love her, she played on Gilmore Girls, loved that show). It is such a good chick flick..I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it!

On the Road Again...

Bart and I have been traveling so much lately for work...our schedule the last couple of weeks went like this....New Smyrna Beach to Sarasota to Destin to Gulf Shores to New Smyrna Beach (and Bart is now in Fargo, ND and will head to Sarasota after that). Hunter and his IDOG

Not sure if you have ever seen this thing - IDOG - or not, but is a pretty cool thing. You plug your IPOD into it and it plays the music as a speaker...wags its tail...barks when you don't pay attention to it...growls when you pull on his tail...moves his ears. Hunter absolutely loved it, he would take it in his room and it occupied him for atleast two hours (the longest he has done much at our house by himself).

My life has been so crazzzy lately I haven't had time to update my blog - AC brought this to my attention. This was the weekend of July 6th. That was a busy weekend with Hunter but it was probably the calmest one we have had in a month. Hunter enjoyed shooting off fireworks and he was so persistent on shooting them off on his own(luckily we didn't have any of the big dangerous ones). We went to the lake a couple times and my neice, Elizabeth joined us one afternoon. Hunter wore Bart out saying "throw me! throw me!" over&over!

4th of July

I went to my moms to watch the Flippin Fireworks Tuesday night and they were great. Mom invited her chuuch family to come over, my sister and her kids were there and the Collins family came over too! I am so blessed to have so many great people in my life and be able to spend the holidays with them. The only problem..I was missing the 3 most important people in my life!

Last night Sammi and I drove up to the top of the road to watch the Bull Shoals Fireworks. I sat out the moonroof, watched and they were wonderful! I think the Flippin show was better....

Scrapbooking Crop

This past weekend I went to a Scrapbooking Crop, held by Scrapbook Addiction at the fairgrounds. It was such a great time and I really needed it...I am completely wore out mentally and physically. This past year has been the most tiresome....and fullfilling year of my life, but a nice weekend of hanging out with some amazing women and doing what I love was awesome!!

It is such a special time to me when Sandy, Christina and myself have a chance to get together and we had that chance this past weekend. We went and had supper at ElChico..and then we went on a silly little shopping trip, which are the best kinds to go on. I love these gals so much and I know life gets in the way a lot of the time and its hard to keep the relationship as strong as we need to, but I will forever want them to be a part of my life and would do anything for them!! You don't find friendships like I have with Sandy and Christina everyday and I truly am grateful!

Summer Trip with Hunter

Seriously, we had such a great time. I am so lucky to have some wonderful kids in my life. Palmer is Bart's almost 13 year old son who lives in FL. He is such a great, laid back, sweet, well-mannered, giving child. Hunter is Bart's 6 year old son who lives in AR. He and I have a wonderful relationship and I have made so many wonderful memories with him - I can't wait for what life throws at us together. Hunter is a strong-willed, hectic, rowdy(all like his father), devoted, caring, loving little person. He knows how to test me to my limits, but in the same sentence he can hit my heart and make me love him more than I knew it was possible. Life without these 2 boys wouldn't be the same....but I sure could use a little girl to go shop with, do her hair, play dress up with... :)
